The demonstration planned on the beach of Cap de L’Homy (40) took place successfully yesterday afternoon!
BOREAL deployed its drone dedicated to Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) off the Landes coast this Wednesday, October 16.
With an optronic camera from our partner INPIXAL on board, the BOREAL completed a two-hour flight at an average speed of 100 km/h at an altitude of around 1,000 meters. Accompanied by winds of 50 km/h, it went up to 5 km off the Landes coast.
The optronic camera, characteristic of the ISR drone, can detect and track targets up to 10 km away. Unfortunately, the ocean was calm that day, neither boats nor marine animals could be detected.
However, it is a successful mission!
