In the December-January edition of Inside Unmanned Systems, the issue of climate change is underlined by presenting the role of drones in climate studies. Their role is recognized, facilitating the collection of data and monitoring of environmental changes in difficult to access and often hostile areas, such as the tropics, glaciers, and wet areas.
In the article, Michel Gavart, CTO of BOREAL, discusses various environmental study and preservation projects in which the BOREAL drone played a major role, such as the RENOVRISK project and the study of cyclones in the Indian Ocean, the study of atmospheric energy flows in the Caribbean (EUREC4A project), and presents the scope of actions of the BOREAL drone.
